Too Much to Talk About

This month came and went way too fast. We will leave out all the drama with travel plans but we started out stopping in Lyman to say Hi to Trent's grandma. Great Grandma Shelton. Then to Utah for the 4th festivities where Trent ofcourse won first in his age group at the fun run. It pays to get old...whatever, I think his time was like 20 minutes. His goal is 18. and my sister's wedding. Congrats Janelle and Ben...so happy for you. They got married in the Manti Utah Temple...just gorgeous. Then my husband literally left me in Rexburg without a car to get back to Minot. We invaded my sister's apartment for nearly 2 weeks....yes almost two weeks. So sorry you guys, but we stayed busy and had tons of fun. Check Ryan and Brittany's blog for more fun pics of all we/they did. Brittany and Skinny watched the kids while I went to a much needed girl's weekend with all my friends from medical school. It was fabulous and totally girly but I can't go into details. Then, I got a rental car and returned to Minot. Now, we are hitting all the festivities here with the ND State Fair which is a huge deal here. We went to the parade to kick it off on Saturday....2 1/2 hours later and with more candy than a halloween we finally headed home.
As you can see, there aren't the traditional floats you would normally find at a parade. The base acutally gets Tuesday off for military day at the fair, so that will be nice. It is back to work for me this week and it will turn into a busy month as Brayden starts Kindergarden, we prepare to move, and I am in charge of the Primary Program and got suckered into a musical about the Ten Virgins at church.

Oh yeah, our garden is starting to come in nicely. THe boys are enjoying the peas and we also have spinach, radishes, cilantro and zucchini. Can't wait for the tomatoes.

  1. Love the garden. that is HALARIOUS about the floats in the parade. Looks like fun though. Love small town festivities. Sounds like you are enjoying life and having a great time. Congrats on the fun runs!
